Speaker Froilan C. Tenorio, Covenant-Saipan, who recently welcomed two lawmakers from Japan who are pushing for Futenma’s relocation, is sponsoring the resolution.
The Senate earlier adopted a separate but similar resolution.
The U.S. wants to keep Futenma in Okinawa but away from its current location, Ginowan City.
Tinian officials said their island is willing to host the airbase which has about 4,000 military personnel.
