The donation was officially presented by Bridge Capital executive assistant Lily Nguyen at a ceremony held in the governor’s conference room on Wednesday.
Accepting on behalf of the council were board vice chairman Charles P. Reyes, Jr. and board members Maria Lourdes S. Ada and Richard Moreno.
Nguyen noted the important role the council plays in educating the public about the commonwealth’s rich history and cultures.
“This donation reflects a core mission of Bridge Capital established by its principals, John Baldwin and Shawn Scott, to support the cultural, historical, charitable and intellectual needs of the CNMI through regular donations” Nguyen said.
Reyes expressed the council’s appreciation for the donation.
“Bridge Capital is one of the most socially responsible and civic-minded companies in the CNMI. The council joins other CNMI organizations in thanking Bridge Capital for its continuing commitment to our local community” he said.
Bridge Capital is an international banking and real estate development firm headquartered in the CNMI.
It recently made $17,000 in donations to support several schools and community organizations in the commonwealth.
Nguyen said Bridge Capital encourages its employees and all community members to volunteer and become actively involved in the local community.
