Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro said police officers were dispatched to Railroad Road after a complainant reported illegal dumping activity in the area.
Ogumoro said the incident was reported at 9:16 a.m. on March 24.
She said the complainant told the responding police officers that he and several companions were picking up trash on Railroad Road when they came upon the trash dump leading to a fence.
Ogumoro said the complainant and his companions discovered copper wire casing and various pieces of residential trash in the area.
She said the Crime Stoppers program is asking the assistance to report any information or details involving this and other illegal dumping activities.
