Inos sentences woman in prostitution case

Inos required Wei Juan Chen, also known as Mama-San or Coco, to report to the Department of Corrections on July 5, 2010 to serve her remaining two-day sentence.

After her release from prison, Chen will immediately report to the Adult Probation Office to serve her 90-day supervised probation.

She was required to pay a $100 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and probation fee to be assessed by the Adult Probation Office.

Assistant Attorney General Eli Golob prosecuted the case while Chen was represented by the Public Defender’s Office.

Chen was convicted of promoting prostitution after a bench trial on June 14, 2010. Her co-defendant was acquitted.
