This as the 24 Workforce Investment Agency and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation sponsored students are now studying computer course since July 6, IBPC president Herman Sablan said.
Sablan said they will commence next week the internship certificate program with 36 students, international language program for beginners with another 36 students, and five students for the associate degree in business.
“These certificate programs allow individuals to gain the needed experience and knowledge needed in today’s working environment,” he said.
The IBPC president said the education-tourism oriented program now adopted by the Department of Commerce and supported by the Marianas Visitors Authority proved to be “fruitful.”
“With the emergency amendments on the student insurance regulation, this was a great relief to foreign students enrolled here at IBPC”, Sablan said.
He said that IBPC continues to insure the education model offered is substantial and beneficial.
“The CNMI is doing itself a great favor by opening the doors for foreign nationals who wish to study abroad. The unified effort on public-private relationship will only enhance the growth of edu-tourism for the islands,” Sablan added.
