Japan students, teachers visit NMI for cultural exchange

Pacific Development Inc. director Gordon Marciano said the students arrived here on Oct. 19 and were divided into two groups.

He said the first group included 55 students and five teachers who visited Mt. Carmel High School on Oct. 20.

The second group composed of 79 students and five teachers enjoyed a cultural village experience at the Saipan Grand Hotel.

They got a chance to try bead making, coconut oil making, weaving, and banana painting before going on a sightseeing tour.

Iino High School was established in 1974 and is located in the Mie Prefecture. The school has  456 students.

Last year, over 200 students and 18 teachers from Ueda Nishi High School in Ueda City and 60 students from Iino High School visited Saipan for a cultural exchange program.
