Japanese visit war memorials in Yap

During a brief courtesy visit on the governor and lt. governor, the Yap Visitors Bureau introduced the two visiting gentlemen and briefly shared the purpose of their visit as one premised on good will. 

Gov. Sebastian Anefal welcomes both gentlemen to the island and shared gratitude toward the visit. 

He said, such mission is important in fostering the cordial relationship that exists between the Yapese people and the Japanese.

He further highlighted the need to cooperate in maintaining these valuable relics that contribute to our history.

Tokuda and Abe were expected to visit the monuments and offer prayers and blessings.

They were also ready to provide maintenance if needed.

They were accompanied during the courtesy call by YVB staff Vincent Tafileluw and Yoshinobu Hosoi.
