Jealous partner bites woman

Police said Ruiz bit his partner several times.

Assistant Attorney General Benjamin Petersburg represented the government while Assistant Public Defender Richard Miller was appointed by the court to represent Ruiz.

On July 4, at about 3:16 p.m., police were dispatched to Dandan regarding a disturbance report.

Police said Ruiz arrived at their residence and met his partner and her three-year-old girl.

Ruiz then checked on the victim’s laptop and asked if she was having an affair with someone online, police said.

Ruiz pushed the victim and brought her to the corner of the room, where the defendant bit her arm and face, police said.

“Jimmy told [the victim] that he would rather bite her than to punch her like a real man,” Detective Catherine B. Pangelinan told the court.

Ruiz told the victim that she better not go anywhere and not to take their daughter, “or something is going to happen to her,” police said.

The victim told police this was not the first time that  she was physically abused by Ruiz.
