Joeten-Kiyu library hopes to have computers running this week

Joeten-Kiyu Library IT Center coordinator Roy Rechebei said their patrons have not been able to use the computers for two weeks, or after they closed the library for a week to overhaul its data base system.

“We apologize to our computer users and the students who have enrolled in various computer classes, and we ask them to be patient and bear with us because we cannot use the computers yet until the missing parts arrive,” he said.

He said  these computer parts will solve the problem of overloading in the servers when the computers are turned on.

The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library closed its operations from Aug. 24 to 28 to upgrade its data base system so it can meet the standards of other library systems across the country.

But since the system overhaul, the IT center has not been able to use the computers.

As soon as the computers are  up and running, Rechebei said computer classes will resume.
