The multi-purpose center in Susupe is the venue of the governor’s State of the Commonwealth Address on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
(CNMI Legislative Bureau) — Edmund S. Villagomez, speaker of the House of Representatives and Dennis C. Mendiola, president of the Senate have announced that the 24th Commonwealth Legislature will convene a joint session to hear Governor Arnold I. Palacios deliver his State of the Commonwealth Address on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 10 a.m. The event will be held at the Governor Pedro P. Tenorio Multi-Purpose Center in Susupe.
This address provides the governor the opportunity to update the Legislature and the people of the Commonwealth on the current state of public affairs, his administration’s accomplishments, challenges, and policy priorities for the year ahead.
The general public is encouraged to attend, but is advised of the following:
• Gallery seating is limited, and priority will be given to invited guests. Remaining seats will be available to all others on a first-come, first-served basis. To accommodate overflow, canopies and screens will be available outside the building once the venue has reached capacity.
• Doors will open to the public at 9 a.m. Security inspections will be conducted upon entry.
• Parking spaces on the venue grounds will be reserved for dignitaries and special guests. To accommodate the high traffic, adjacent off-street parking sites for the general public have been designated. They are:
o The Guma Hustisia/Iimwal Aweewe/House of Justice Complex
o The Joeten-Kiyu Public Library
o Civic Center Beach Park
As parking is expected to fill up fast, in-person attendees are encouraged to arrive early or use public/alternate transportation if planning on being in attendance.
