The man appeared in court after the mother of his two children complained that he failed again to pay his dues.
The Variety is not disclosing names to protect the privacy of the mother and her children.
During the hearing, the man argued he has no money and that he has submitted job applications to at least 25 firms but to no avail.
The judge then told the man to bring the copies of his 25 job applications in court on April 11 at 1:30 p.m. to prove his claim.
“Find a job. It would be a lot easier than coming to court every month. Go get a job,” Inos said. “Your child has to eat. It’s just $50 each child.
Everyone has to pay. Even if you’re not working, you need to pay child support.”
The number of mothers complaining about their spouses or partners not paying child support continues to pile up at the family court.
