The children showcased their knowledge and skills as they participated in the science project competition and the Science Bee.
There were eighty-two projects that competed and those who received the top prizes were Raven Andebor, kindergarten; Joseph David Magofna, 2nd-3rd grades; Gerald Padrid and Crystalle Lloren, 4th-5th grades; Danielle Mafnas, Terrence Blanca and Kyle Catilo, 6th grade.
Andebor, Magofna, Lloren, Blanca and Ferliza Matagolai will represent KoES in the islandwide Science Fair to be held on March 19-21 at Marianas High School.
Teacher and coordinator Janelle Rivera said the students and parents were delighted with the projects of their children.
The winners of the Science Bee held on February 22 were also awarded on Tuesday: kindergarten student Daphnie Ito, first grader James Tenorio, second grader Stephanie Rejano, third grader Mark Villanueva, fourth grader Naomi Billimon, fifth grader Lizelle Salanga and sixth grader Tanya Timbas.
All the questions asked during the Science Bee were based on Public School System standards and benchmarks.
