Korean flutist and violinist to arrive tomorrow

Jonathan Joo, former secretary general of Korean Community of Saipan, disclosed in an interview yesterday that Bora Kim and her sister Sara will perform, free of charge, at the Korean Presbyterian Church in Chinatown on Saturday night.

Bora Kim, who studied at the Gnesin Academy Music in Russia, and the Musik Theater of Germany will play the flute.

Sara Kim, who is still studying in Germany, will play the violin.

Joo said it will be the first time that the two high-caliber musicians will visit their compatriots on Saipan.

The sisters can also arrange a free show for a group of more than 10 people.

Hana Tour, Joo said, invited the sisters to visit Saipan and share their talents with the people here.

Joo said over 3,000 Koreans reside on Saipan.

Bora and Sara Kim, who are teenagers, will not only entertain the local community but also inspire the youth to consider a career in classical music.
