Rotary Club President Patrick M. Calvo said tickets are selling fast for the Las Vegas Night 2008 which is slated on July 19 at the World Resort.
“We are inviting those who haven’t bought their tickets yet to get theirs so they can join the different games of chance on that big night,” Calvo said early this week.
The club printed 7,000 tickets and started distributing them to the community on April. They are targeting to come up with somewhere around $35,000 in ticket sales and proceeds from other fund-raising activities during the event.
The club is hopes to raise about $20,000 after the prizes and other expenses are deducted.
Ticket holders are entitled to participate in the different games of chance like roulette, Texas poker, bingo, black jack and craps during the event.
At stake for the grand prize is a choice of $10,000 or a brand new car. Other prizes include $3,000 for the first prize, $2,000 for the second prize, $1,000 for the third prize and $500 for the fourth and fifth prizes.
Calvo said funds from the ticket sales and from other proceeds will support many of the humanitarian and community projects of the Rotary Club of Saipan.
He said that funds are needed for the projects of the new set of officers for the new fiscal year.
Tickets can be bought from any Rotarian or you may contact Ben Babauta at 236-2563.
