LIP Gloss Foundation on Thursday delivered gifts to the Division of Youth Services for the children under its care.

Incorporated in Dec. 2021, Lip Gloss — Where Women Empowerment Transcends is a non-profit organization that aims to empower, educate and employ women of different backgrounds, races, cultures and social status, including those with disabilities.

With support from generous donors, the group decided to help spread the Christmas spirit by providing toys to the DYS children, Lip Gloss Founder and Chief Executive Officer Maryann Borja said.

Acting Department of Community and Cultural Affairs Secretary Vivian Sablan said they deeply appreciate any assistance to DYS, which provides direct intervention services on a daily basis to children.

“We need the help of the community to come up with the extras that will help us not only in the case management process, but the support that can bring joy and happiness to the children that we are serving,” Sablan said.

Delivering the gifts to the DYS office were Borja, Lip Gloss President Darsha Camacho and Treasurer Hazel Sadian. The other Lip Gloss officers are Secretary Tianna Villagomez and Public Information Officer Rafaela Fiallos.

Receiving the gifts on behalf of the children were Sablan and Junnie S. Masga, DYS community development specialist/shelter supervisor.

Lip Gloss would like to thank the donors for their generosity: Lisa Dela Cruz, Tina Camacho, Tony Frank, Ed Williams, Flor Deleon Guerrero, Dwayne Maratita, former Rep. Richard Lizama, Teresita Santos and Shian Aricheta.

“Thanks to donations from people like you, we can make sure that every child feels special on Christmas Day,” Borja told the donors. “Your generosity to give back and bless others from the abundance the Lord has given you will help bring Christmas spirit to children in need,” she added.
