Local musician to donate part of proceeds from CD sales to church, Japan tsunami victims

John Ichihara said they have sold over 50 copies of his CD “Si Yu’us Ma’ase Asagua-hu” during a fundraising sale at his house in San Vicente on Sunday afternoon.

Ichihara said he will be donating 10 percent of the proceeds to the church and another 10 percent to the Japan disaster victims.

He will be conducting person-to-person selling.

“I will be selling copies of my CD at weddings and other gatherings, at the Sabalu market, and street market in Garapan on Thursdays, and I will also visit schools,” Ichihara said.

Friends and family members have also promised to help him sell the CDs.

He said  that online customers can email him to buy  copies of the CD. Ichihara said “Si yu’us Ma’ase Asagua-hu” is a song he composed and dedicate to his wife of 29 years, Brigida.

“The song is a reminiscence of  the first time we met each other, everything that we went through all these years, and how we kept alive the love that we shared, and how thankful I am to share life with her,” Ichihara said.
