THE Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation reported Monday that no deaths have been linked to Super Typhoon Sinlaku, though several residents have sought medical care for storm-related injuries.
“I don’t quite have the exact numbers of injuries related to the typhoon, but we have seen several come through the ER,” CHCC public information officer Lee Tenorio said. “Not during the storm, but after.”
Tenorio said CHCC’s outpatient and emergency room services on Saipan remain open. The Rota Health Center has returned to normal operations, while the Tinian Health Center remains operational but is facing logistical issues, including power challenges.
Asked for an approximate number of injuries and the severity of the cases, Tenorio said, “Not at this time.”
CHCC continues to coordinate with emergency responders as assessments of storm-related impacts proceed across the islands.
