(CHCC) — The Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation is pleased to welcome Dr. Melody Angel as the newest primary care provider at the Rota Health Center, where she will begin a two-year contract serving the island of Rota.
Dr. Angel is a board-certified family medicine physician with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Andrews University, a Doctorate of Medicine from Michigan State University (1998), and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Sparrow Hospital/MSU Family Practice Residency. She brings with her many years of diverse clinical experience, having practiced in outlying emergency departments throughout Michigan, urgent care settings, and most recently as the medical director for five nursing homes and a hospice service in the greater Detroit area.
Her clinical interests include listening to patients’ stories, supporting individuals and families through a dignified, patient-centered end-of-life process, and incorporating lifestyle medicine into everyday medical practice. Dr. Angel’s personal mission is to chase her dreams with passion and to thrive so fully that it inspires others to pursue their own goals and live fully as well.
