CNMI leaders participate in ethics-focused workshop

(Office of the CNMI Governor) —   Senior leaders across the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands government are currently participating in a mandatory professional development workshop aimed at strengthening ethical leadership and organizational excellence within the administration.

The training, titled “Challenges to Ethical Leadership in a Dynamic World,” is being conducted in partnership with the International Public Safety Leadership and Ethics Institute or IPSLEI.  The  workshop  is  facilitated  by  Kevin  S.  Brame,  executive  director  and president of IPSLEI, who traveled to the Northern Mariana Islands to personally lead this initiative.

Brame brings more than 45 years of experience in the fire service, 11 years as an educator, and distinguished military service in the United States Army as a Military Police officer. During his military career, he was awarded the U.S. Army Soldiers Medal for Valor, recognizing acts of heroism and exemplary courage. His extensive background in public safety leadership    and   ethics   provides   participants   with   practical   insight   into   principled decision-making in complex and dynamic environments.

This training represents a strategic investment in strengthening the ethical foundation of the CNMI government. The program focuses on equipping senior leaders with practical tools to enhance communication, reinforce accountability, and promote principled leadership across agencies.

“Ethical leadership is not optional — it is fundamental to public service,” said Gov. David M. Apatang. “By investing in our senior leaders and reinforcing the values that guide our decisions, we are strengthening public trust and ensuring that our government operates with integrity, transparency, and accountability.”

The administration remains committed to cultivating a culture of professionalism, responsibility, and ethical governance in service to the people of the Commonwealth.
