HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — After the devastating impact of Super Typhoon Sinlaku on Saipan, Core Tech called on the Guam community to come together in support of those affected through a dedicated relief drive for Saipan.
The powerful storm left widespread destruction across the island, bringing intense winds, heavy rainfall, flooding and severe damage to homes and infrastructure. Many families continue to face urgent challenges as recovery efforts remain underway.
To help provide immediate assistance to affected residents, Core Tech, in coordination with APL, invited businesses, families and community members to donate essential relief items that directly benefited those in need.
“We know that in times of hardship, our island communities come together to help one another,” organizers shared. “This relief effort is an opportunity for Guam to extend compassion and support to our neighbors in Saipan as they begin the long road to recovery.”
The relief drive took place from May 1 through May 5, 2026, with donation drop-off locations at the Core Tech Center in Tamuning and the Core Tech Development office at Summerville Residence.
Community members were encouraged to donate essential supplies that included: non-perishable food items such as canned goods, instant noodles, rice and other shelf-stable products, bottled water, hygiene kits, including soap, toothpaste, sanitary products and diapers, and first aid supplies.
This initiative by Core Tech not only provided practical assistance but also reinforced the spirit of regional unity and compassion that has long connected the Mariana Islands. Community support can make a meaningful difference for families rebuilding after disaster. Residents are encouraged to continue to help bring relief, hope and comfort to those whose lives were affected by Super Typhoon Sinlaku.
