EDUCATION Commissioner Lawrence Camacho, EdD, informed the Board of Education on Wednesday of his plan to resign. Camacho became the Public School System’s 10th education commissioner in January 2024 after accepting the BOE’s job offer in November 2023. Last Saturday, Camacho announced his intent to run as an independent candidate for governor, with former Senate President Edith Deleon Guerrero as his running mate. More details to follow.
