A CHARITY gala on Saturday gave spectators a sneak preview of the Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas pageant at Grandvrio Resort Saipan’s Fiesta Ballroom.
The 12 contestants representing villages across the CNMI, including San Jose on Tinian, impressed the audience with their elegance in bridal and evening gowns, as well as casual wear on the catwalk. Their performances perfectly complemented the glamorous ambience of the packed venue, filled with guests eager to see the CNMI’s first Miss Asia-Pacific contingent.
Gracing the gala were contestants Anne Rivera, Maria Analine Barcelo, Tiffany Rose Libreja, Dharlee Biellee Marquez, Bernice Shane Sabino, Sydney Kind-Hinds, Chiaralei Mendoza, Haillerine Fernandez, and Donna Rose Santiago.
Adding to the excitement were local musical talents Lorenzy Leo and Dwayne Castro, who performed several numbers, and JB Pangelinan, who serenaded the audience with nostalgic tunes, including Mariah Carey’s “Hero,” on the saxophone.
The organizers of Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas were also introduced: president and franchise owner Bench Legaspi; vice president Joann Aquino; secretary Zowie Cruz; and director of finance Sheryll Sabino.
The night celebrated not only beauty but also purpose, confidence, and unity — the very spirit of the Northern Marianas shining on one grand stage, Legaspi said in his closing remarks. He thanked all sponsors for their generosity and belief in the vision of the pageant.
“You are the backbone of this event, and your support allows us to continue empowering young women to dream boldly and represent our islands with pride,” Legaspi said.
He also recognized the parents and families of the candidates for their unwavering love, encouragement, and trust. Legaspi acknowledged the dedication of the board members, whose commitment was instrumental in turning the dream into reality.
Speaking directly to the contestants, he said:
“I want you to know how proud I am of each and every one of you. You have all shown grace, strength, and passion. No matter the outcome tonight, remember that you are all winners — ambassadors of hope, culture, and empowerment.”
Legaspi described the gala as the culmination of months of preparation, passion, and partnership. More importantly, he said, it was a celebration of unity — proof that when the community comes together, it can create something truly extraordinary.
“As we witness the crowning of our new Miss Asia-Pacific Northern Marianas, let us be reminded that this is not just about beauty — it’s about purpose, representation, and the strength of women who dare to make a difference,” he said.
Pre-pageant night is set for Nov. 13, 2025, at 6 p.m. at Grandvrio’s Fiesta Ballroom. Coronation night will be held on Nov. 15, 2025, but the venue has yet to be confirmed.
