GOVERNOR David M. Apatang and Lt. Gov. Dennis James C. Mendiola expressed their gratitude to former Associate Justice Perry B. Inos, who resigned about two weeks ago.

During last week’s announcement of new appointments — including associate justice, presiding judge, and associate judge — the governor said he knew Inos had worked very hard in the Commonwealth’s judicial system, where he served for many years.

“The governor also noted that it took time before the associate justice decided to enjoy a more relaxed life,” he said.

He added that being a jurist is one of the hardest jobs, probably even harder than being governor or lieutenant governor. “The justice or judge has to decide on a lot of issues that affect people’s lives,” the governor said. He applauded members of the Judiciary “for everything that you do.”

“So I say ‘thank you’ to Justice Inos for serving the people of our Commonwealth for a long time. Good luck to him in his private life, and I wish him and his family a good life,” the governor said.

Mendiola, for his part, thanked Justice Inos for the time and effort he put into the community and the hard work he contributed to the CNMI. “I wish you well in your next endeavor,” Mendiola said.
