CITADEL Pacific, which operates IT&E in the CNMI, and IP&E Saipan assisted in transporting generators for the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa.

On Wednesday, Chalan Kanoa Bishop Romeo “Romy” Convocar personally thanked IT&E Chief Executive Officer David Gibson, IT&E Executive Director Velma Palacios, Government Relations and Community and Customer Service Senior Manager Janice A. Tenorio, and IP&E Manager Ron Benavente for their assistance, saying it was a big help for the Diocese as it continues to do its share for the community.

The bishop also thanked the CNMI government and the Diocese’s friends on Guam for their support.

Gibson said IT&E and IP&E were among the companies that assisted in transporting generators for Mount Carmel Cathedral, the Diocese’s rectory, and chancery offices.

He said it was great that IT&E and IP&E were able to provide assistance and that the company is proud to have done so, noting their motto, “Connections that Matter.”

He added that the assistance reflects the company’s values. Speaking personally, he said that in his experience, churches are more than places of worship. They also serve as community centers and places of refuge, making it important to ensure they have power even during commercial outages.

(An earlier version of this report incorrectly identified the bishop of Chalan Kanoa as Rome. His name is Romeo.)
