(Press Release) — McDonald’s of Saipan is proud to donate $5,000 to the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa to support meal distribution for families in need through its Food Distribution Program.
“On behalf of our McDonald’s family, I extend our deepest gratitude to the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa for their unwavering commitment to serving families in need following Typhoon Sinlaku. In moments like these, it is our faith and the way we care for one another that truly carries us — guiding us to show compassion, generosity and unity when it matters most. This effort is a meaningful reflection of that spirit in action,” said Marcia Ayuyu, owner/operator of McDonald’s Guam and Saipan.
She added, “Through McDonald’s, we are humbled to contribute to this cause and stand alongside the Diocese in supporting our families during this time of recovery. I offer my heartfelt thanks to every individual who has given their time, resources and care to uplift our community. Your kindness has not only provided nourishment but has also strengthened hope. You are all in my prayers, and I continue to offer my love and support for our community.”
Following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, the Diocese of Chalan Kanoa expanded its outreach efforts across the community, including its Food Distribution Program.
“We typically begin giving out meals at 10:30 a.m., and we do our best to feed every person in line — from individuals to families with several children,” said Bishop Romeo Convocar. He noted that the contribution will be dedicated specifically to the Food Distribution Program, as many in the community continue to face food insecurity.
The bishop also expressed gratitude to the Ayuyu family, stating, “The Ayuyu family and McDonald’s have long been pillars of support in the CNMI. Their commitment to corporate social responsibility and dedication to the well-being of our people embody the true spirit of stewardship and compassion.”
He added, “On behalf of the Diocese and all who will benefit from this donation, we thank the Ayuyu family for their generosity.”
