Memorial Day ceremony canceled

DUE to the damage and devastation caused by Super Typhoon Sinlaku and the ongoing recovery efforts across the islands, it is with deep sadness that the Veterans Affairs Office announces there will be no Memorial Day ceremony this year.

“Although there will not be a formal service, the Veterans Affairs Office will place flowers and flags at each grave at the Veterans Cemetery to honor our fallen heroes.  This Memorial Day, we remember and continue to pray for our fallen warriors and their families for the sacrifices they have made.

“We appreciate the community’s understanding during this time, and we remain committed to supporting recovery and rebuilding efforts across the islands. The Veterans Cemetery is open to the public Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Fridays from 8 a.m.  to 3 p.m., and on Austerity Mondays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“Thank you for your continued resilience and support.”
