PHILIP Sablan shot a 1-over par 71 to claim the Saipan Golfers Association’s 2025 November Ace of the Month title at LaoLao Bay Golf Course & Resort on Sunday.
Sablan joins 10 other SGA Aces who will compete in the 2025 Ace of Aces Tournament, scheduled for January 2026. He carded a 43 on the front nine and a 46 on the back, for a gross score of 89. His 18-handicap earned him the winning net score, securing the monthly crown.
In addition, Sablan took honors for closest to the pin on Hole No. 17 and recorded the longest drive to Hole No. 5.
Taking second place was zero-handicapper April Ace Freddie Cataluna, who shot a front nine 36 and a back nine 38 for a 2-over par 74. August Ace Joe Crisostomo claimed third place with a front nine 46 and a back nine 43, finishing with a gross of 89 and a net of 77, thanks to his 12-handicap. May Ace Jeung Eun Teack placed fourth, scoring 50 on the front and 48 on the back for a gross of 98 and net of 77.
The other 2025 SGA monthly Aces include Larry I. Deleon Guerrero (January), Joe I. Sablan (February), Mariano Fajardo (March), Freddy Cataluna (April), Jung Eun Teack (May), Rene Batalones (June), Das Krishnan (July), Joe Crisostomo (August), Alex Tudela (September), and Ed Manibusan (October).
Additional honors went to Ton Tomokane for closest to the pin on Hole No. 7 and Rick Kautz for the longest drive to Hole No. 18.
All ten November Ace of the Month winners received an 11- to 12-pound Butterball turkey.
The SGA announced that the December Ace of the Month tournament will be held Sunday, Dec. 21, 2025, at Coral Ocean Resort Golf Course, with tee time at 9 a.m. and show time at 8:30 a.m. The 2025 Ace of Aces and January Tournament is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18, at the Laolao East Course, with tee time at 8 a.m. and show time at 7:30 a.m.
