Saipan Chamber general membership meeting just one week away

(SCC) — The countdown is on! The Saipan Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its November general membership meeting or GMM, happening next Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2025, at Hibiscus Hall, Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, a proud Chamber member.

With just one week left, the Chamber invites members and interested guests to secure their seats for one of the most anticipated meetings of the year. This month’s GMM promises important committee updates, exclusive presentations, and timely discussions on issues shaping the CNMI business community.

The program will feature a keynote presentation by Dr. Esther L. Muna, CEO of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation. Dr. Muna will provide an insightful overview of fiscal year 2025, highlighting key advancements in medical diagnostics, preventive and clinical care, facility improvements, and the Health Network Program’s achievements. She’ll also address pressing challenges such as workforce shortages, rising costs, and Medicaid coverage gaps, along with the strategies CHCC is implementing to strengthen healthcare services across Saipan, Tinian, and Rota.

The Spotlight Presentation will feature Thomas A. Manglona II, editor-in-chief of Marianas Press, as the organization proudly celebrates its first anniversary this November. Manglona will reflect on the company’s journey over the past year, sharing milestones, lessons learned, and what’s next for the growing local media organization.

In addition, this GMM includes the annual board election, where members will vote for the 2026 board of directors, a key opportunity to help shape the Chamber’s leadership and the direction of the CNMI business community. All members are encouraged to participate and cast their vote!

Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for lunch, and the meeting will begin promptly at 12 noon. Seating is limited, with tickets priced at $35 for Chamber members and $40 for future members.
