STRONG Tent Program: Temporary Shelter Support for Typhoon Survivors

As recovery efforts continue across the Commonwealth, the CNMI Emergency Operations Center reminds residents that temporary shelter assistance is available through the STRONG Tent Program, which stands for Sustainability of Temporary Resilience and Operational Needs on Ground.

The STRONG Tent Program is designed to provide safe, temporary shelter to households whose homes sustained significant damage from Super Typhoon Sinlaku and are no longer habitable.

Eligible residents may receive a tent and basic setup assistance while they work toward more permanent housing solutions.

📌 Please Note:

•  Tents are intended as a temporary emergency shelter option.
•  Assistance is prioritized for households with the greatest need.
•  Program eligibility is based on damage assessments and available resources.

Saipan and Tinian residents who believe they may qualify are encouraged to visit their mayor’s office.
