Anefal approved the request to have Aileen Tareg in a letter dated Sept. 14, 2010.
In a recent letter, the university’s health promotion and education professor/chair, Dr. Naomi N. Modeste, thanked the governor for approving their request.
She chairs Tareg’s doctoral committee, which is working with the student in preparation for data collection.
As soon as Tareg completes and defends the proposal and is advanced to candidacy for the degree, and the LLU Institutional Review Board approves all research activities, she will be traveling to Yap.
