Man accused of sexually assaulting woman with mental disability

Ilo was charged with sexual assault in the first degree and disturbing the peace.

Superior Court Associate Judge Teresa Kim-Tenorio signed the arrest warrant served on July 31 and imposed a $20,000 cash bail.

According to the complaint and affidavit of probable cause in support of an arrest warrant filed by the police in court, Ilo was seen by a witness on May 4 at 1 a.m. sexually assaulting a woman with a mental disability.

Department of Public Safety Detective Rosa Taman Rios said she interviewed the  witness and the victim.

The eyewitness told police she was disgusted to see Ilo touching the victim in their living room. She said Ilo appeared to be shocked when he saw her and immediately moved away from the victim.

The victim told police that she did not consent to Ilo touching her. She said she told Ilo to stop, but he continued until the eyewitness came into the room and caught him.

She said the next day Ilo took her to the store and bought her betel nut and told her not to tell anyone what happened.

Ilo appeared before Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja on Monday for a bail hearing.
