Man calls 911 after wife allegedly slapped him

A man called the police after his wife allegedly slapped him twice at their residence in San Jose early yesterday morning.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna said the wife woke up their children and left the house before the responding police officers arrived.

Muna said the 27-year-old husband told the police that prior to the slapping incident, he and his wife were drinking with some friends at their house.

One of the victim’s female friends started talking about his job. The victim told his female friend to meet him in front of the house because “he didn’t want to cause a problem in front of their friends.”

While the victim was on his way out, his wife followed and stopped him near the driveway.

The wife slapped him once on his face. He asked her why, but she turned around and walked into the house.

The victim followed and asked her again why she slapped him. The wife replied by slapping him again.

The husband then called 911 and reported the incident to the police. Muna said the incident was placed under further investigation.
