Authorities have arrested Fitial, 26, after he was positively identified through video footage as the one who hid a laptop in his pants, and used his shirt to cover his pants as he walked out of Bond’s Computer Land on Feb. 18, 2010.
The Attorney General’s Office charged Fitial with one count of theft.
Fitial has been released to his father as his third party custodian.
The Superior Court granted the motion for bail modification filed by the Public Defender’s Office on behalf of Fitial.
The defendant was allowed to post a $1,000 bail in unsecured or appearance bond.
