Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth Govendo, who ordered Celis’s arrest on Oct. 8, recessed the hearing.
Celis has been charged with robbery, disturbing the peace, and contempt of court in connection with a purse snatching incident near the Prince Hotel in Sadog Tasi on Oct. 1.
He was also arrested for violating his federal probation.
During the revocation hearing on Friday in federal court, Celis, who appeared with his counsel Steven Pixley, denied the charges against him.
The federal government was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Beverly McCallum, who asked the court to set no bail, adding that Celis is a danger to the community.
Designated Federal Judge Frances Tydingco-Gatewood granted the prosecution’s motion.
Authorities earlier found a bag containing a “green leafy” substance under Celis’s underwear during a strip search at the Department of Corrections.
The substance was later confirmed to be marijuana and weighed more or less 3.25 grams.
In the Sadog Tasi snatching case, police said Celis was positively identified by the victim and a witness.
