The “treat” is an annual activity of the Rotarians.
Rotarians led by their president Vicente Babauta visited the manamko’ at the Aging Center and served them food and drinks.
The Rotarians also gave away a special gift through a raffle draw.
Later, the Laolao Bay Golf Resort served dinner to the manamko’ after a presentation and show.
Babauta said they will continue their annual Thanksgiving celebration with the manamko’ despite the islands’ economic difficulties.
Babauta said they will also repair the Aging Center’s bingo machine so that the manamko’ can again enjoying playing the game during their leisure hours.
Howard Macaranas, executive director of the Aging Office, said the generosity of the Rotary Club has encouraged other non-profit organizations and business establishments to share their blessings with the senior citizens.
“The Rotary Club is a family member of the manamko’,” he said.
