The board voted 3-3 on the application submitted by Full House Inc. for its proposed Kee Tourist Convenience Cool Spot.
Zoning Administrator Douglas Wyatt said the board voted twice on the application but the result was the same — a tie.
Those in favor were Diego Blanco, Edward Arriola Jr., and Isidoro Cabrera. Those against were chairwoman Herminia Fusco, vice chairman Henry Hofschneider and Joe Limes.
Elizabeth Rechebei was off-island during the public hearing.
Wyatt said the board granted the conditional use application of Alexander Vekhov to construct employees’ housing at the Sasha Building, located at the intersection of Beach Road and Quartermaster Road.
The property was zoned as “Beach Road.”
Wyatt said the board also granted the variance application of Ivan Quichocho to construct additional parking stalls for the TSL Building.
The property is located on Beach Road and Kadena Di Amor Street.
Two new parking aisles on the east and west sides of Bouganvilla Avenue are being proposed.
The property was zoned as “Tourist Resort.”
