Noble Alfredo D. Leon Guerrero, who belongs to Charleston Lodge 44 and the president of Guam Shriners Association, said the principle of freemasonry is brotherly love, relief and the truth.

He said he is convinced that freemasonry in the Marianas will be a milestone of harmonious achievements.

Masons from the Philippines, he said, can explain freemasonry since they had it there back in the Spanish period.

“We all get together like this and we got to learn our craft. It is pretty hard to do it but if you are eager to do it, then, you can,” he said.

Masonic groups, he said don’t recruit members.

An interested individual should submit an application and go through a process in order to become a mason.
