Since Mayor Donald G. Flores assumed office in January, the extension office wants to be “more productive” in the delivery of basic services to the community, Aldan said.
He said any request for road repair will be attended immediately without any “political considerations.”
By next week, the mayor’s office will start its road repair program.
The office has already received 15 road repair requests, Aldan said
He noted that not all equipment and trucks were operational when Flores became mayor.
Now, Aldan said, they have a 16cy dump truck, a backhoe, a bobcat, a tractor lowboy, and two boom trucks for junk car and scrap metal removals.
By next week, he added, after the repair of the water tank’s pump is completed, they will also start delivering water to areas without water connection.
The heavy equipment, Aldan said, will be used to clean up villages, including the removal of junk cars.
There are four other heavy equipment items that are not operational. But the mayor’s extension office has already scheduled their repair, he said.
