Proclaimed winners against three other teams last Saturday were the Rockabeat Kings, the Super, Candy Fabolistic Extra Super Delicious and L.O.S.T. squad.
McDonald’s Saipan marketing officer Ana Olaes said five more teams will compete in the second elimination round which will start at 6 p.m. on March 13.
She said the three non-winning dance teams will have another chance to compete with the remaining teams on Saturday.
Three winners will be chosen on Saturday to compete with the first three winners in the grand finals set for March 20.
The dance groups are judged based on technical skills, rhythm and choreography. Groups have at least five members each and the contest is open to students or non-students who have talents in hip-hop, break dancing and street dancing.
“We are surprised at the turnout of guests during the elimination round,” Olaes said.
“McDonald’s Saipan appreciates the support from the community, and we would like to invite you to join us again as we celebrate the 17th year of serving the CNMI,” Olaes added.
Prizes at stake in the grand finals are $500, $300 and $200 with trophies each for the first, second and third placers.
