A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter searches for a missing windsurfer in the waters off Micro Beach on Tuesday afternoon.
A WINDSURFER who was reported missing at around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday was found safe later in the day.
The Department of Public Safety, the Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services, the U.S. Coast Guard and private jet ski operators conducted a search and rescue operation in the waters off Micro Beach.
At around 7 p.m., DFEMS public information officer Robert Mojica said the individual was found safe in the water. No other details were provided by DFEMS.
Variety was told that the missing windsurfer is a 60-year-old male Japanese tourist.
