The trip is a mix of a Christmas and regular service run to the neighboring islands. Government representatives will also be on board to conduct normal service in the islands for the duration of the trip.
The MV Hapilmohol is fully loaded with store goods and other supplies that may be of great need by the neighboring island residents for the Christmas and New Year seasons.
The vessel has been scheduled to stop at every neighboring island on the way out as well as on its way back to Yap, to guarantee that all the needs and requests of every island are met. One other reason is to make sure that all the government services on board will be respectfully accommodated.
The ship is expected to return back to Yap just a few days before Christmas.
