MVA joins Seoul International Travel Fair 2025

(MVA) — In a gathering of potential travelers, travel trade businesses and organizations, media and more in South Korea, the Marianas Visitors Authority promoted travel to The Marianas at this month’s 40th Seoul International Travel Fair or SITF.

The fair was held on June 5-8, 2025, attracting over 45,000 attendees (not counting children ages 12 and under) and featuring over 500 booths. On the heels of last year’s “Most Popular Booth” award, this year MVA garnered the “Best Booth Event” award with indigenous Chamorro and Carolinian dance performances, coconut frond weaving, and other activities to engage fair attendees.

“Winning ‘Best Booth Event’ this year was more than just an award, it was a powerful affirmation that The Marianas’ culture, people, and story deeply resonate with Korean travelers,” said MVA Managing Director Jamika R. Taijeron. “Our presence at SITF is not just about promotion, it’s about connection. Every dance, every smile, and every shared moment at our booth reminded us why Korea remains one of our most important and engaged markets.”

At its booth, MVA showcased images of an outrigger canoe, the scenic Bird Island Lookout, the award-winning Managaha Island, diving, golf, the Saipan Marathon, Hell of The Marianas, and other attractions that highlight the beauty of the islands. Among those participating in a survey and raffle, MVA awarded giveaways, including hotel gift certificates provided by Aqua Resort Club Saipan, Crowne Plaza Resort Saipan, Grandvrio Resort Saipan, LaoLao Bay Golf & Resort, and Marianas Beach Resort.

Organizations from over 40 countries participated in Seoul International Travel Fair 2025, providing visitors with information on domestic and international destinations, as well as travel contents by theme, such as gourmet food, hobbies, healing, and activities.

Korea remains the top source market for The Marianas, as the destination works to stabilize current air service and expand flights.
