NAVFAC Marianas participating in Career Fair Friday at UOG

ASAN, Guam (NAVFAC) — In an effort to bolster employment opportunities and support the local community, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Marianas is participating along with the Department of Defense in a career fair at the University of Guam Field House Friday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The primary goal of this event is to bring together DoD employers and job seekers, focusing on nurturing “homegrown” talent. Officials hosting the career fair aim to provide a platform for individuals to explore job opportunities, connect with companies, and network with potential employers.

“We are committed to supporting the growth and development of Guam’s talent pool,” said Capt. Troy Brown, NAVFAC Marianas commanding officer. “By providing opportunities for local residents, including military spouses and veterans, we not only enhance their skills and knowledge, but also contribute to the overall economic development of the island.”

The career fair will feature employment opportunities from various DoD organizations on the island. Attendees can expect to engage with representatives from different sectors and learn about the diverse range of career paths available within the Defense Department.

“We recognize the importance of fostering a strong connection between employers and the local community,” added Dr. Sam Roundtree, NAVFAC Marianas business director.  “This event serves as a bridge, enabling employers to connect with potential employees and empowering job seekers to explore new career avenues.”

Job seekers are encouraged to attend and bring copies of their resumes and education transcripts to make the most of this networking opportunity.
