New chef on board at Hyatt’s Miyako restaurant

Koji Isa, Miyako Restaurant’s new Chef de Cuisine started at his new post a couple of weeks ago and already, he has made some improvements and introductions in the restaurant’s menu.

The 32-year old chef brings with him over 14 years of international experience as chef at the Hyatt Hotels in Osaka, Tokyo and China. He has also worked at top restaurants in Australia and other parts of the world.

“It is my first time to be here and I find the island very beautiful. I am excited to introduce new features to the Miyako Restaurant like additional items in the menu,” Isa said.

He said he is now working on putting his skills and international experience as chef to use the local ingredients found in the island.

Isa’s forte lies in producing authentic Japanese cuisine, which he defines as “enhancing the main flavors of actual, fresh ingredients.”

He said that he will do his best to provide diners with really mouth-watering and authentic Japanese dishes at the Miyako Restaurant and give diners a reason to come to Miyako again and again.

The Miyako Restaurant is one of Hyatt Regency’s four restaurants which offer a contemporary and intimate atmosphere for diners to experience.

The daily lunch buffet features a scrumptious selection of fresh sushi and sashimi from a wide variety of the island’s freshest catch, broiled dishes, crispy tempura, and other Japanese favorites.

The Miyako Restaurant is open for lunch buffet from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. everyday.
