Ben Babauta, the club’s 41st president, encouraged his fellow Rotarians to work together in implementing their organization’s projects.
“What I would like to hear from fellow Rotarians throughout the year is a resounding ‘YES’ to all the projects that we will be undertaking throughout the year,” Babauta said.
“Together we will make a difference — together we will make dreams real,” he added.
Babauta said club’s projects for the year include activities that focus on children, health, education and safe water.
He said the club will have a health care project for the children, a baby care project, a Parade of Books, a family day, among other activities.
Babauta was named the Rotarian of the Year during the meeting.
