Fire broke out in the kitchen area of the defunct establishment a little after 11 a.m. but it was immediately put out.
In a media conference, Department of Public Safety Commissioner Ray Mafnas urged members of the community to be on the lookout for “suspicious movements” in their neighborhoods.
It is unusual to have back to back fire incidents in one part of the island, he added.
No injuries were reported in both incidents.
