
Pearl Lauritzen
AN alumna of Northern Marianas College and former nurse at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and has also made the Dean’s List.
Pearl Lauritzen graduated from NMC in 2023, the same year she passed her NCLEX-RN examination.
According to her résumé, she became a full-time medical-surgical nurse at CHCC in August 2023.
Lauritzen’s most recent Dean’s List recognition from the University of Cincinnati was preceded by the one she received in January 2025 for the Fall 2024 semester.
“It is my pleasure to inform you that your outstanding academic achievement during University of Cincinnati’s Spring 2025 semester has earned you a spot on the UC College of Nursing Dean’s List,” wrote Alicia Ribar, Dean and Schmidlapp Professor of Nursing at University of Cincinnati in a letter to Lauritzen.
“Students qualifying for this distinction must have completed a minimum of 6 credit hours with a grade point average of 3.4 – 4.0 for the semester. You have met this high standard of academic performance with a term grade point average of 4.0 and should be very proud of your achievement. Being placed on the Dean’s list indicates that you strive to be the best, are dedicated to attaining your academic goals, and are committed to be a student nurse leader. This recognition will be noted on your academic transcript and will become a permanent part of your official academic record at the University of Cincinnati.”
