“We need to raise more funds,” he added.
The organization set up another bake sale on campus yesterday and a car wash fundraiser at McDonald’s Gualo Rai branch today.
Benavente is calling on motorists to support them.
“Please come over to have your car washed and help us in our trip,” he said.
NMC, through the Interclub Council and the administration, will help finance the students’ trip.
Benavente said although the organization is trying its best to come up with the needed money what they have collected is not yet enough and they are very thankful for the help offered by the college.
He said the fundraisers were challenging for their group which started with nothing at all.
But, he added, their overall experience was satisfactory.
Two instructors are joining the 16 students who will be on Guam from Thursday to Saturday.
On Thursday, they will visit the Guam Police Department’s crime laboratory, the University of Guam and the Office of Probation.
On Friday, they will attend the Christmas lights ceremony at the Guam Supreme Court and spend their remaining time on island at Guam Community College.
