NMTech new student registration deadline nearing, classes begin Jan. 16

REGISTRATION is ongoing for classes at the Northern Marianas Technical Institute, and classes will begin on Jan. 16, its Marketing And Outreach Coordinator Ben Babauta said. 

The registration deadline is Jan. 10 with a new student orientation scheduled for Jan. 11 beginning at 10 a.m. at NMTech’s Lower Base campus, he added.

Topics to be covered at the orientation include the school’s attendance policy, trades safety, class schedules, holidays, and more, Babauta said.

According to a media release, Construction: Core Fundamentals, NMTech’s introductory course to construction, begins on Jan. 16 and concludes March 26. Classes are from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday. 

Electrical Level 1 courses begin on Jan. 16 and conclude June 25. Classes are from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

HVAC Level 1 courses begin on Jan. 16 and conclude July 2. Classes are from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

Automotive Steering and Suspension begins Jan. 16 and concludes June 11. Classes are from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday to Thursday

Automotive Engine Performance begins Jan. 16 and concludes Aug. 7. Classes are from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday. 

Culinary Arts classes begin Jan. 22 and end May 21. Classes are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Monday and Wednesday. 

Baking and Pastry classes begin Jan. 22 and end May 21. Classes are from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday. 

NMTech also offers a Welding Level 1 course that begins on April 1 and concludes May 5.
