Tudela said residents should be commended for dedicating their time to advance and promote local arts and crafts.
He also commended local songwriters for promoting “Kantan Chamorrita.”
He attributed the success of local artist to the “untiring effort” of the Commonwealth Council for Arts and Culture and NMI Council on the Humanities.
Tudela said the observance of the National Arts and Humanities is in “honor of those who continue to devote their time to unfold the roots of our real identity and how we got our two main languages of our own indigenous people.”
In his proclamation, Tudela said the arts and humanities affect every aspect of life in America today including the economy, social problem solving job creation, education, creativity, and community livability.
